Aquamarine, spotted druzy, boulder opal, labradorite with gold and purple flash and natural chalcedony are arranged in a gentle arc, set in 22k gold on a base of oxidized sterling silver. A lush fringe of tourmalines on 18k gold headpins drapes the top edges of the stones and in between each stone--terminating in a champagne citrine briolette. The focal portion of this necklace measures 3 1/4 by 1 1/4 inches.
The chain is painstakingly handmade--I call it my "sprout chain" in oxidized sterling. Hundreds of individual silver sprouts are woven together to form a tactile chain. The hook clasp adjusts from 18 to 20 inches with an extender chain.
