Two Australian opals combine in this piece in a wonderful display of grays, blues and white. The first opal exhibits a distinctive pattern of white orbs on a dark gray background with the most gorgeous flash of blue under light. I've wrapped it in 22k gold and silver. It sits alongside a blue/lavender opal (4.5 cts) set inside the window of an oxidized silver petal with a small pearl and gold accent below.
Between these two opals is a lush collection of gemstone beads and delicate 14k chains. Gemstone beads include kyanite, tourmalinated quartz, labradorite, melanite and white freshwater pearls.
The necklace extends to either side of these focals and features large pearls, kyanite, lapis, labradorite and 14k accent beads. The beaded strand measures 17 to 19 inches with an extender chain and simple hook clasp.
