With these "tangled vine" theme cuffs and rings I always begin by selecting the stones. Then I create a swirled silver framework, figure out the positioning of the stones and then I just let go and let the botanical elements wrap and climb and grow where they will. No carefully thought out plan here.
A boulder opal sits next to a pink sapphire and dendritic agate. At their center is a cluster of ruby and tanzanite beads on 14k gold. This forms the color focal of this wide cuff bracelet from which grows a spray of silver alliums--one of my favorite bulbs.
The cuff is 2 1/8" wide at the front and tapers towards the back. The interior diameter measures 2 3/16" by 1 7/8" with a 1 inch opening and fits the smaller side of average wrist. I snapped a photo on my own wrist which measures 6 1/2 inches and it feels perfect.
