This boulder opal is very interesting. Creamy gray stripes display flecks of flashy orange, pink, green, blue and gold. I tried to photograph the ring in different light settings to show the variation. The opal is wrapped in a bezel of 22k gold and becomes the perfect center to an 18k gold/silver bimetal flower. Below the upper flower layer is a layer of argentium sterling silver with tiny fused silver balls. To the left of the opal I've added gemstone beads of pink, orange and yellow sapphires, tanzanite, teal tourmaline and emeralds on 14k headpins. The right side of the opal features an orange sapphire.
The simple band measures a 7 1/2 and can be enlarged up to a size 8. Please email me wendy@fussjewelry.com if you would like this ring enlarged.
The flower measures about 1 inch wide by 7/8 of an inch tall.
