This strikingly organic ring is another in my tangled vines series featuring a gorgeous boulder opal. I wrapped the opal in 22k gold and selected a pink tourmaline, teal kyanite and green tourmaline to accent the center stone.
Floral sprouts of oxidized silver wrap,
and grow around the ring.
I begin with the stone selection when I make these rings and then create and build--placing the silver flower motifs and gold dots as I go--where they feel right.
This ring is taller in the front and tapers towards the back for comfort, and features an open network of vines that allow for air circulation and easier fit than a solid band.
It measures 8 on a mandrel, but fits like a 7 1/2.
