I've paired a 5 carat semi-black opal with blues and a touch of lilac, with a lavender turquoise--yum. Both stones are set off by deeply oxidized flower petals that surround. I build the flowers petals by fusing argentium silver wire and sheet.
An oval kyanite and ruby wrapped in 22k gold bezels top the space between them and then a fringe of golden hills turquoise, lapis and pink sapphire beads on 14k pins fill in below.
Interspersed between the petals are blue topaz and a pink sapphire and the petals are dotted with 14k gold balls.
The band is a double split-style band of sturdy gauge silver wire to balance the weight of the flower while remaining comfortable as it narrows towards the back of the finger.
Fits a size 8 and can be enlarged up to an 8 1/2.
The double flower measures 1 7/8 by 1 5/8 horizontal and vertical at the widest points. I've raised the flower up off the band a bit so as to sit comfortably above your hand.
