This marquise cabochon cut of dumortierite in quartz has a generous cluster of the blue inclusions in the center tapering off to clear quartz at the edges. It is wrapped in 22k gold along with a boulder opal and set at a lively angle on one of my swirled band rings of oxidized silver. Dots of 18k gold add accent. Fits like an 8 1/2 on a band that tapers comfortably in the back.
