Sold! Green Blue Boulder Opal Pendant with Blue Topaz and Tsavorite Garnet Fringe
This solid boulder opal features sagey green and blue swaths of color across the lower edge and lovely multi-color flashes in the upper portion. It measures 4.8 carats and I've taken photos from several angles to demonstrate the color change and flash. I've set it in a bezel of 22k gold on an oval base of 22k gold/argentium silver bimetal.*
A lush cluster of swiss blue topaz faceted rounds and faceted green tsavorite garnet rondelles on 14k pins sits at the base of the stone. Pendant oval measures 7/8 of an inch by 5/8 of an inch. The 14k gold rolo chain adjusts from 16 to 18 inches with an extender chain.
*Bimetal features a layer of high-karat 22-karat yellow gold pressure-bonded to a layer of bright Argentium® Silver. The gold constitutes a full 10% of the overall weight and the Argentium constitutes the remaining 90%. The front of the piece shows the gold layer and the back is silver. This is a cost-efficient way to achieve the warm look of gold jewelry.
