One of the earliest pieces I created with the gemstone "fringe" surrounding a stone, was a fossil coral ring. The flower-like patterning and gorgeous natural colors are perfect for enhancing with fringe beads.
These cream and pink fossil corals have been set in argentium and fine silver and given an outrageously lush fringe of pearls--peachy pinks, grays and lilac--with some faceted champagne spinel on the outer edges.
The earrings dangle 1 3/4 inches long and measure 1 3/8 inches across at the widest point.
