This long and slender Rosarita is wrapped in 22k gold atop a base and band of oxidized sterling silver. The lower edge of the stone is framed in a gemstone fringe of amethyst, pink tourmaline and spessartite garnet wrapped with 18k gold headpins. The band has been given a textured, lightly ruffled edge (see the last photo.)
About the focal stone

Roserita is a by-product of the gold refining of days gone by. When gold-bearing ore was heated the red-gold slag would run off down the mountains and solidify into glorious red boulders. This gorgeous material is a wonderful red and even orange and takes a nice polish.
