This 5.3 carat solid pipe opal has all the cheerful color of spring and summer. Flecks of cheerful pastels are wrapped in a 22k gold bezel and sit on a base of 18k gold and sterling bimetal.* Along the lower edge of the opal runs a fringe of pink sapphires and a few aquamarines sprinkled in.
The pendant measures 1 1/4 inches wide and 3/4 of an inch tall (including the fringe.) Chain and headpins on fringe stones are 14k gold.
*18k bimetal features a sheet of 18k gold fused to a sheet of sterling to create a precious metal with gold on the front and silver on the back.
