This semi-black opal from Lightning Ridge Australia measures 19.00mm x 13.48mm x 4.66mm and weighs 7.77ct. The gray potch material creates a fantastic cellular or webbed pattern with violet purple that flashes under light. I've wrapped it in 22k gold and set it on a wide band of oxidized silver with fused silver sprouts. The band is 5/8 of an inch at the front and tapers to 7/16 of an inch at the back. It fits like a size 9 - 9 1/4.
